#ThisGirlCan is a new project in collaboration with a gender studies researcher based at Newcastle University.

The work specifically focuses on women who participate in sport and, with specific reference to the #thisgirlcan campaign, explores how different people perform their identity and gender online.

The project is part of the Performing Research Network and supported by Newcastle-based theatre makers Cap-a-Pie.

The first phase of the work will be shown at Northern Stage on 26th November 2015.
