This is an installation that takes its inspiration from the artist’s own past. With tenuous links to Jewish ancestry, photographs appear that depict the faces of our possible relations. Sound playfully invokes the presence of the other calling them into being through the sonorous. The use of face tracking technology makes an abstract idea possible allowing a journey into moments in the past.

This installation was created in the context of ‘Only Connect Lab’, a collaborative three-week laboratory held at Aberystwyth Arts Centre with digital sound artist Andre Sier, video artist Rui Gato, and theatre director Joao Garcia Miguel and ten multidisciplinary artists. Over three weeks we were introduced to and worked with digital sound and video technologies such as Touch Designer, MAX, xcode and open frame works.
