I am really excited to be one of the artists taking part in the next Response Time event at the Gas Gallery in Aberystywth next weekend 25th - 27th October 2013. Housed in an old car showroom, the Gas Gallery is a new venue in town that is hosting interesting art work and project initiatives such as this one. It is the brain child of Sandra Bendelow of Scriptography Productions, the idea being that several artists respond to the gallery space and the art works during a concentrated period of 48 hours. On the final day, an audience is invited to share and view these express creations. I’m lucky enough to have paired myself up with William Bock, a great friend and collaborator from the Strangework Collective. Though the idea is not to plan in advance, Will and I have been putting together a ‘wish list‘ of possible creative strategies, objects and ideas to try. These include pinhole photography techniques, a mechanical toy lion and a bag of crayons. Watch this space….
